Vegan aperitif? A tasty and environment-friendly choice

If you think that organising a vegan aperitif is complicated, or rather almost impossible, then you should know that this is not the case. There are plenty of tasty recipes that are great to try, especially in the summertime… which, combined with cocktails made with our vegan and organic sparkling wines, will make your vegan aperitif a success!

Here are two refreshing cocktails that are easy to prepare at home:

Pink Cocktail with Afra Prosecco DOC Rosè (recipe for 1 cocktail)

  • Afra Prosecco DOC Rosé (90ml)
  • Vodka (30ml)
  • Grapefruit juice (30ml)

Light and fruity, excellent to sip during a summer aperitif.

White Spritz (recipe for 1 cocktail)

  • Perlapp  (60ml)
  • White Vermouth (40ml)
  • Soda
  • 2 lime slices
  • 4 mint leaves

In Veneto region Spritz in all its variations is the typical aperitif, easy to prepare and also perfect as a vegan cocktail. In fact, vegan-friendly brands of products such as vodka, vermouth or gin can also be found on the market.

Which vegan finger food can be paired with them?

Some winning choices for your vegan aperitif could be: cereal salad and eggless omelette with herbs and wild flowers.

For the first one, simply prepare a cold salad made with cereals suche as spelt, quinoa, barley, bulgur and dress everything with raw or pan-fried seasonal vagetables.

For the omelette: mix water with chickpea flour (200g) and extra virgin olive oil, add salt and pepper and leave to stand for about ten minutes (the mixture must be liquid). Fry a spring onion with 200g of summer herbs or wild flowers ( our choice is dandelion) and then add the latter two to the batter. Simply cook the mixture in a frying pan just as you would do with an omelette and, when it’s cooked, cut it into pieces for an easy to share dish that is great for an aperitif with friends.

Eating organic food and following a healthy diet with a lot of fruits and vegetables is synonimous with well-being, but not only. Being “green” and having an eco-sustainable lifestyle is a winning choice, because it respects the environment and the society in which we live, and also helps to preserve planet Earth for future generations.
