Sustainable holidays: Quid X Perlage limited edition

A DOCG Prosecco that encloses quality, elegance and solidarity. 500 bottles of pure love!

For this Christmas Col di Manza Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG becomes the symbol of Social and Environmental Sustainability.

For Christmas holidays Col di Manza limited edition wears a special handkerchief made by “Quid” a Social Factory based in Verona, who’s engaged daily in a virtuous mechanism: the reuse of fabric surplus through the design and production of new accessories and cloths, that is proudly defined as “Ethically Made in Italy”. This process culminates in offering employment and training opportunities to those are at risk of work exclusion.

Quid has been active for more than a decade and has given employment opportunities in various business fields to more than 140 employees of nearly 20 different nationalities, the majority are women. Quid with the support of international organizations, companies and partners manages to bring to life projects with a strong social impact.

Perlage is committed with Quid in making the Col di Manza Limited Edition handkerchief because it strongly believed in the power of inclusivity and low-impact design. For a long time, we were planning an upcycling and social sustainability project, when we visited the spaces and people of the Quid Cooperative we understood it was the right partner. The attention to detail, the willingness to make custom products and the attention given by the embroiderers convinced us we were moving in the right direction. Looking around through the fabric warehouse and making an initial selection of fabrics was fun but also instructive. It was non-trivial to figure out which fabric might be right for us in terms of thickness and colouring, and then to return to the company and choose together with colleagues the perfect match. A shared choice with great ethical value, this is what Col di Manza Limited Edition is for us.

So, in this bottle you will find all the quality from the grapes coming from the Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG and all the goodness of a project that aims to give those most at risk of exclusion from the labour market a second chance to rediscover their talents, without neglecting the great potential of upcycling that gives new life to raw materials destined to be thrown away.

We are happy to say that, thanks to the collaboration between Quid and Perlage, 15m of fabric have found new life and new opportunities for 'inclusive employment represented by 10 hours of work and training in the Cooperative.
