Prosecco Masters 2022: Canah wins Bronze medal

The competition awards Perlage spumante brut and reveals the trends in the Prosecco market

It is well known that in wine contests the competition is constantly increasing, nevertheless, Canah Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG takes home another prize. The Drinks Business has conferred it a Bronze medal in the 2022 Prosecco Masters competition.

Prosecco Masters, at its ninth edition, has a panel of judges who has an increasingly detailed overview of the worldwide Prosecco scene. Among the trends recorded in the market of this wine, there is a general increase in quality, even of Proseccos DOC under 15 €. The quantity of bottles produced in the last 15 years has risen from 60 mln to 600 mln. It is not only quality and quantity that have increased, but also winemaking styles, that are increasingly diversified. Even more brands are producing brut or extra brut: thanks to a greater selection of grapes and better ripening, the obtained wines are with less sugar and more balanced.

In such a scenario, the character of Canah Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG is the winner: modern and versatile with its 8 g/l of sugar dosage it winks to those, who love not too extreme brut wines.
